Week 15 Preview: Chiefs vs. Raiders

The Chiefs look to bounce back from their 3 game losing streak this week, as they face the Oakland Raiders in a rematch of that ugly Thursday Night Game that started this whole thing.

There was nothing glaringly bad about that last game against Oakland, except for the 14-0 deficit to start the game, and all the minor mistakes that led to the Raiders game winning touchdown drive late in the fourth.

Billy Butler vs. Kendrys Morales: A brief comparison

It was shaping up to be a rather quiet Winter Meeting for the Royals, until they found a replacement for Billy Butler. They signed free agent Kendrys Morales to a 2 year, $17 million deal, including a mutual option for a third year.

Morales spent the 2014 season with Minnesota and Seattle, playing in just 98 games as a DH. He managed a .218/.274/.318 hitting line, with 8 homers. The Royals supposedly want to use a rotating DH next year, but Morales seems like more of a permanent DH.

Tough road to playoffs for Chiefs

Just when I start to think that blogging might just not be for me, I somehow always find a way back here to write something. It’s been almost a month, and a lot has happened since then.

Thanksgiving break came and went, and it was a nice week off from school. I ate lots of food, saw my family, and relaxed. Most importantly though, I ate lots of food.

Finals week is next week, but somehow this week seems to be more stressful than next week. I’ve had a presentation and two exams this week, followed by four finals next week. Why do professors insist on making our lives difficult? I haven’t found an answer, but if I do, I’ll let you know.
