2015 AL Central Preview

Baseball is finally back. After the most exciting Royals season in arguably Royals history, the anticipation is running high. The Royals play their first spring training game against the Rangers on Thursday, and things are looking good for this team.

Ned Yost is doing interviews everywhere, Alex Gordon is running miles around the park, and Lo Cain and Sal Perez are playing jokes on each other. This still feels like it did in October, which is a great feeling. As Ned Yost said, this Royals team certainly has a certain “swagger” heading into 2015, and it should be a good season.

Top 5 WR options for Kansas City Chiefs in 2015

With the offseason in full swing, the Kansas City Chiefs have begun making moves to improve their offensive core in 2015. They cut Donnie Avery and A.J. Jenkins last week, and are projected to make more moves later on to free up salary cap space.

The Chiefs ranked 29th in passing yards in 2014, and relied heavily on Jamaal Charles and Travis Kelce. They had that infamous record of zero wide receiver touchdowns, and struggled all year to find that one guy who could make an impact.

Mizzou Basketball suffering through ‘growing pains’

The Mizzou Men’s Basketball team lost their eighth game in a row last night against Alabama, and is on their way to their worst season since 2005. They’ve been romped twice by Kentucky, fallen flat against Ole Miss, lost in overtime twice, and even dropped the season opener against UMKC all in a season that could be described as growing pains.

It hasn’t been a great start to the Kim Anderson era, especially after so much hype in the off-season. A coach who had plenty of success at Central Missouri–including a national championship–Anderson was considered to be a coaching elite, an attribute that brought him back home to Columbia.

I don’t own FIFA, but I do have a demo downloaded on my PS4 (which you should buy, if you don’t have one). While I am not a fan of soccer at all, FIFA has certainly peaked my interest. I’d like to take this time to run through some of my favorite and least favorite parts about FIFA.

Describing the Chiefs season in one word

It was a bittersweet end to the season for the Chiefs, as they took down division rival San Diego, but also missed the playoffs. Fans were scoreboard watching, hoping that maybe, just maybe, Cleveland and Jacksonville could work some magic.

Of course, it didn’t have to come down to the last week. The Chiefs went 3-4 in the last seven games of the season, after an impressive 6-3 start that included a five game winning streak. They were one game better than last year (2-5) in the last half of the season, but not as impressive in the first half as last year (9-0).
